Gusto! Announces New Westside Restaurant to Open by Early Fall 2108
ATLANTA (June 14, 2018) – gusto! founder Nate Hybl announces he is opening a third location of his fast casual restaurant at Northside and 17th. There is a new development in West Midtown that house several new restaurants. The restaurant, with locations in the South Buckhead and Virginia-Highland neighborhoods of Atlanta, will serve its fresh bowls and wraps with bold, global flavors for lunch and dinner and is set to open in September.
“We are very excited to enter West Midtown and extend our footprint to this growing part of Atlanta,” says Hybl. “We needed a presence in this area, and we’re looking forward to differentiating in the center as a locally-born brand.”
Building a new breed of gusto!
Construction on this location begins in July, and the architect will make adaptations and efficiencies to gusto!’s current business model for the new store’s smaller footprint of 1,430 square feet. Although Gensler is tasked with the challenge of editing gusto!’s modern industrial style for a smaller space, the restaurant will still feature the same speedy service and familiar interiors for which the brand has become known. The West Midtown design also sports gusto!’s signature bright yellow and white color palette, an open kitchen, countertop seating and local art.
“This unique, smaller restaurant will showcase another version of gusto!, offering us the opportunity to lean into a new model that could work for other areas,” says Hybl, who is also scheduled to open a Decatur location of gusto! later this year.

The restaurant team greets guests by asking “what’s your gusto?” Inspired by both international cuisine and familiar American flavors, these gustos – like sweet soy sriracha, chile sesame bbq or tahini cucumber feta – can be hot, bright, earthy or sweet. They all bring the food to life with freshness and flavor, not fat. The next steps are as simple as picking a style (mixed greens, Jasmine brown rice, half greens and half rice or a flatbread wrap) and adding a grilled protein (chicken, shrimp, portabella mushroom or avocado). Lastly, The menu at gusto! features all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken and, whenever possible, local and organic ingredients.
