ATLANTA (March 11, 2019) – With St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching, Atlanta’s best restaurants are putting the finishing touches on lively food and drink specials as magical as any pot of gold. Stop by the Sweet Shop at 4 Rivers Smokehouse for a slice of Irish flavor throughout the month of March: a magically delicious Guinness brownie made with rich chocolate and Guinness stout and topped with mint icing.
5Church Atlanta is the place to eat and drink your greens on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. For Saturday and Sunday brunch, enjoy a featured “green” shrimp frittata with green peas, asparagus, green tomatoes and salsa verde ($13). Atkins Park Restaurant & Bar in Virginia-Highland sets forth Irish favorites including braised lamb shank ($16), bangers and mash ($12) and corned beef and cabbage ($14) Friday through Sunday of St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Irby’s Tavern, Atlanta’s prime sports hangout, is rolling out a winning lineup of St. Patrick’s specials Friday through Sunday. Kick things off with an appetizer of corned beef and cabbage egg rolls with beer mustard cheese ($10) or get right to the main event with a plate of Guinness shepherd’s pie topped with cheddar cheese mashed potatoes ($14). Brunch lovers can try corned beef hash with two eggs prepared your way ($12). For dessert, go for the extra point with Guinness cupcakes with Baileys buttercream frosting ($9). But that’s not all. Babalu® is getting into the St. Paddy’s spirit all month long and offering reduced prices on its monthly specials Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17. For a different taste of the Emerald Isle, try March’s taco of the month, the Corned Beef O’Taco, featuring corned beef, cilantro slaw, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing, all topped with green onion and served in a fresh corn tortilla ($3). HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern is offering special St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at all three locations. At the Brookhaven and Perimeter locations, guests can enjoy $5 pints of Guinness, $5 pints of green beer, $3 Jameson shots, a traditional corned beef and cabbage special served with a grain mustard and red wine vinaigrette ($16) along with the regular menu and live music beginning at 5 p.m. The original Midtown location also offers a corned beef and cabbage food special and live music as well as Guinness and Jameson drink specials.
